On the afternoon of 12 December 2025, in Meeting Room 2, Tay Bac University solemnly held the opening ceremony of its 14th master’s cohort (2025–2027) in two specialisations: Vietnamese Linguistics, and Theory and Methods of Teaching Mathematics.
The ceremony was attended by Dr. Nguyen Van Dinh, Deputy Party Secretary and Rector; Dr. Hoang Ngoc Anh, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice Rector; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Viet Hung, Head of the Office of Academic Affairs; leaders of functional offices; leaders of the Faculty of Social Sciences and the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Technology; lecturers; and the 13 master’s students of cohort 14.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Viet Hung announced the admission decision for the 13 students, comprising 1 Vietnamese and 12 Lao students – a clear reflection of the orientation towards cooperation in training high-quality human resources within the framework of Viet Nam–Laos friendship and educational cooperation.
In his opening speech, Dr. Nguyen Van Dinh congratulated the new master’s students and emphasised the role of postgraduate training in improving the quality of human resources and developing scientific and educational staff for the Northwest region and for Laos. He expressed his hope that the students would be self-motivated and proactive in research, serious in their studies, and active in linking theory with professional practice, thereby affirming the reputation and quality of the University’s training. Tay Bac University always provides the best possible learning environment, teaching staff and international cooperation to help students complete their programmes.
On behalf of the cohort, student Khammanh expressed honour and pride at studying in the master’s programme at Tay Bac University, and determination to strive in study, training and research, contributing to the fine traditional cooperation between Viet Nam and Laos.
The ceremony closed in a solemn atmosphere, reflecting the University’s attention to postgraduate training and affirming its orientation towards sustainable development, higher training quality and expanded international educational cooperation.
