Implementing the “Winter Volunteer 2025 – Spring Volunteer 2026” plan to promote young people’s pioneering spirit of volunteering for the community, and with the approval of the Party Committee and the Board of Rectors, on 17 January 2026 the Youth Union of Tay Bac University organised a volunteer programme themed “Warm Winter in Muong Sai – Love Lasts Forever” in Muong Sai Commune, Son La Province.

Attending on behalf of the Party Committee and the Board of Rectors was Dr. Hoang Ngoc Anh, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice Rector. The Youth Union was represented by Mr. Kieu Tien Luong, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Youth Union, Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union of Provincial Party Agencies and Secretary of the University Youth Union; Ms. Trinh Thu Huyen, Deputy Secretary of the University Youth Union; members of the University Youth Union Executive Committee; and members of the Student Volunteer Club, the Youth Union Media Club and the Faculty of Social Sciences Media Club.
Muong Sai Commune was formed by merging Nam Et and Muong Sai communes (former Quynh Nhai District). It covers 123 km² with 18 villages, more than 2,000 households and over 9,500 inhabitants of four ethnic groups – Thai, La Ha, Mong and Dao – many of whom still face hardship. With the wish to share, spread love and bring a warm winter, the programme received support from organisations, sponsors, staff, Youth Union members and students of the University.

The programme included many meaningful and practical activities: 15 gifts of school supplies and VND 200,000 in cash for children; 20 gifts of essential goods and VND 300,000 in cash for households in difficult circumstances; and 100 packs of cakes and sweets for children. In particular, a “zero-dong stall” offering 1,000 sets of clothes attracted strong interest from local people. Youth Union members also took part in activities to support the locality, strengthening the bond between young people and the community.

To celebrate the 14th National Party Congress and the 40th Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Tay Bac University (2025–2030 term), the University Youth Union coordinated with the Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee and Viet Nam Fatherland Front Committee of Muong Sai Commune to stage an art programme themed “Forever Steadfast in Following the Party”.

With 15 elaborately staged performances by Tay Bac University students and guests, the programme vividly recreated the glorious journey of the Communist Party of Viet Nam since its founding, leading the Vietnamese revolution through countless difficulties from victory to victory. Songs praising the Party, beloved Uncle Ho, the homeland and the younger generation created an emotional artistic space that spread national pride and inspired patriotism and dedication, conveying the people’s and young generation’s steadfast trust in the Party’s leadership and affirming the responsibility of today’s youth to study, train and devote their energy and intellect to building an ever more prosperous and civilised country.
The programme not only provided material support but also offered great encouragement, demonstrating the responsibility, kindness and compassion of young people towards the community. Each gift carried a message of love and trust in sharing and close human connection. Through the programme, Youth Union members had more opportunities to train, contribute and mature in practice, affirming the pioneering role of the Youth Union and Students’ Association in social welfare activities.
The programme closed in a warm, affectionate atmosphere, leaving many beautiful impressions on local people and volunteers alike. The volunteers believe that the love shared in Muong Sai will continue to spread and “last forever” on the volunteer journey of young people today and tomorrow.
