On the afternoon of 30 March 2026, at the Son La Department of Education and Training, a conference was held to sign a cooperation agreement between the Department and Tay Bac University, aiming to strengthen comprehensive cooperation in training, scientific research, innovation and community service.
Tay Bac University’s delegation was led by Dr. Nguyen Van Dinh, Rector. The Son La Department of Education and Training was represented by Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Quang, Deputy Director, together with leaders of professional divisions of both organisations.
Speaking at the conference, leaders of both sides affirmed that the 2020–2025 cooperation agreement had been highly effective and essential for developing education in Son La Province. The new agreement is another important step that will help promote the strengths of each organisation and meet the requirements for developing education and high-quality human resources for the province in the new period.
Under the agreement, the two sides will focus on the following key areas of cooperation:
1. Training, professional development and human resource development
The two sides will jointly develop and implement training and professional development programmes to improve the expertise of education managers and teachers at all levels, while strengthening career guidance, admissions and training linked to local needs, contributing to a higher-quality workforce in the education sector.
2. Educational research, innovation, start-ups and technology transfer
They will promote scientific research, especially in education and training suited to local conditions, jointly organise scientific conferences, support innovative start-up activities for pupils and students, and promote the transfer of research results into teaching and education management.
3. Digital transformation in education and training
They will step up the application of information technology and digital transformation in management, teaching and learning, jointly building smart education models, developing digital learning resources and learning management systems, and enhancing the digital competence of teachers and managers.
4. Community engagement and service
They will expand community service through volunteer programmes, educational counselling and support for pupils in disadvantaged areas, while spreading cultural, educational and scientific values to local communities.
At the conference, Dr. Nguyen Van Dinh, Rector of Tay Bac University, and Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Quang, Deputy Director of the Son La Department of Education and Training, signed the cooperation agreement in a solemn atmosphere, demonstrating strong determination to implement the agreed contents effectively.
The signing marks an important milestone, opening up broad opportunities for cooperation that will help improve the quality of education, promote scientific research and support the socio-economic development of Son La Province in the time to come.
